what this committee is for

Good nights out, with people worth meeting. The ones who start the conversation, order one more round and somehow end up on the dance floor. We keep the sessions small on purpose: members hear about them first, and most people come in through someone who’s already in.

drinks

A bar worth knowing, a rooftop or a terrace by the water. No programme and no name tags. Just the right crowd in the right place, and wherever the night goes from there.

activities

Something to do together, so the conversation starts on its own. Think a club night before the crowds, a museum late, a supper club or a sunrise swim.

Where, when and what it costs. Members can RSVP with one tap, so we know how many people to expect.

The house rules. They apply at every session.

  1. 3.1Come as you are. Coming alone is completely normal here.
  2. 3.2Talk to at least one person you didn’t know when you walked in.
  3. 3.3See someone on their own? Pull them into the conversation.
  4. 3.4Drink whatever you like, or nothing at all.
  5. 3.5No harassment and no discrimination. Anyone who can’t manage that will be asked to leave.

We only use your email for the committee: new sessions and your account. You can delete your account at any time from your member page.

Do I need to know anyone?

No. Coming on your own is completely normal, and it’s the easiest way to meet people.

Who comes?

Anyone who wants to meet people outside their usual circle: students, professionals, newcomers and born-and-raised Amsterdammers.

What does it cost?

Membership is free. Every session says what it costs, if anything.

Do I need to be a member to come?

No, everyone’s welcome. Being a member just means you see every session first and can RSVP, so we know how many people to expect.

I don’t drink. Can I still come?

Of course. Order whatever you like, and plenty of sessions are activities rather than drinks.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes. Just make sure you both talk to someone new.

Can I suggest or host something?

Please do. The committee accepts motions from the floor. Email your idea to .
